[Review] David Guetta - She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) feat. Sia

Nothing new with Guetta's new single She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) which features Aussie singer-songwriter Sia who previously teamed up with Guetta for his previous Nothing But The Beat album for the song Titanium which was a global number 1 hit. Meanwhile, She Wolf is your regular dose of Guetta and more to that, the feel of the song is so much of Titanium - just more aggressive but less charming. The song's gusto is also a bit similar to Enrique Iglesias' Finally Found You.

With the release of Nothing But the Beat 2.0, I was not really expecting for a fresher tune but I was expecting for rowdier and friskier sound which won't depart the elements present on the parent album. She Wolf is worth a listen and surely worth a dime to spend on. Sia has never been this soulful as she delivers the lines for the chorus. As she sings at the top of her lungs, it creates a poignant feel right through your head.

[Review] Enrique Iglesias - Finally Found You

 

Believe it or not, I am a huge Euro-dance and Progressive House fan and though a lot of people find these two genres too dated and too stringy for their liking, I kinda got murky with my taste and dig songs of these genres like hell (no, not really a guilty pleasure). Simply put, I am just elucidating an excuse to enjoy the company of mi papi Enrique after the release of his Finally Found You. The song doesn't really make sense at all but, hey,  nothing has been really making sense in the music industry nowadays, so I don't give a crap.

The beat of the song is a pure joy to my heart and mind that I can't even stop smiling and chuckling every time the Chorus comes in. IT IS DAMN EUPHORIC.

[Review] Rihanna - Diamonds

Honestly, Rihanna's latest single Diamonds would be better off to be an album track and not a single. It gives me no hope of a decent album for RiRi after the Talk That Talk floppage. If she's gonna' come out with a flawless second single like We Found Love, then that would be, indeed, delightful. But to release You Da One ahead of We Found Love would be a nasty joke, wouldn't it?

RiRi's voice on the song brings me no nothing but just a cup of amateurish and nasal irritation. Like what I have just said, the song would be a perfect B-Side for Umbrella and it is a shame for  Rihanna and if she doesn't step up to improve her musical direction then she'll just augment the increasing career mortality amongst mainstream acts.

One thing, the song is a pure BORE.

[Review] Ke$ha - Die Young

I have been coercing myself to really love Ke$ha's comeback track "Die Young" 'cause I so miss my Ke$ha but it just seems not make the cut. A year and a half hiatus left the world puzzled and somehow thinking of what's Team Ke$ha's next offering after an epic debut single, album and a grotesquely nice sounding EP. Unlike Gaga who keeps on feeding us every second through her Goddarn Twitter mementos and with all her nonsense, Ke$ha just got back on track after releasing the flaw-free Supernatural snippet.

No denying that the first five seconds of the song is almost identical to Flo Rida's Good Feeling and no denying that the entirety of the song came out flat and purely uninteresting. The production for me is a bit rickety with no clear direction. There was never a focal point nor any euphoric moment. If you'd listen to it, it'd feel like you're about to listen to Tik Tok and We R Who We R without the chorus realness. The song seems to be a bit confused.

The song isn't really that bad at all, it's just that Ke$ha promised us the heaven on earth which I think made everyone expect for a single to surpass or at least match the perfection that is TiK ToK. I like the song and I still spare 20 minutes of my busy schedule hoping that it'll grow on me even more.

Conor's Turn Around Is My Newest Feel-Good Anthem

Conor Maynard's ain't Justin Bieber 2.0!!! Oh C'mon everyone knows he is and we'll definitely expect a Justin Bieber photo everytime we do Google Conor Maynard (I'll give it a five-year target time frame). Well, I'm not here to basically do a compare and contrast rant for the two twinks* ( pretty much ironic with my first opening statement), but anyway I just want to let everybody know how darn I feel good every time I play Conor's latest Contrast track, Turn Around, penned for him by Ne-Yo which is also featured in the song. Honestly, Contrast is a dull and uninspired album, brings back the feeling of desperation and disappointment just like when I was listening to Burke's Heartbreak On Hold preview on YouTube (see I am a wise consumer).

Turn Around, for moi, is the only decent song from the album and certainly the most ear-friendly ( I couldn't stop punishing myself for letting me some dose of Animal). The lyrics are awful but the production keeps me wanting for more. Felt like Ne-Yo was so wasted thinking of how we could re-introduce himself to the mainstream music scene after the Libra-thingy-tragedy that he started to conceptualize the song by producing  the beat, and well it started out so good but then when he found out that Lazy Love did not chart, he lost all the momentum that he let his cousin do the lyrics and handed it instead to Conor. But anyway, indolence sometimes creates unexpected wonders, so I am not gonna' really blame Ne-Yo for the mess at least he had the decency to join Conor in the recording of the song.

Overall, I so love the song that after it ends on my playlist and Ora's How We Do starts, I just obtain the reflex of doing a repeat. God, I still don't know why it is so hard to delete me Ora's songs.
